WIB Fair 2026: Women in Business Rally Support for Nigerian Entrepreneurs in Abuja
Women in Business Promote WIB Fair 2026 at Abuja Press Conference
Women in Business have held a press conference
in Abuja to create public awareness about the
forthcoming Women in Business, WIB, Fair 2026,
aimed at promoting women entrepreneurs and
supporting business growth.
Speaking at the event, the chairperson, Mrs. Abir Mpere,
expressed gratitude to the sponsors for their support and partnership.
She also called on the Nigerian government
to provide greater support for women entrepreneurs,
stressing that empowering women in business
is essential to building a stronger and more
prosperous nation.
business owner that you can
do business with, you use
their strengths, you bring your weaknesses
together, then you people strive together.
So network is one of them.
Now you're going to benefit sisterhood.
Sometimes women go through a
lot. You just need a shoulder
to lean on most
times. So that sisterhood is what
you will get. I get, oh, it's not
okay, it's like this. I want to assure you
that the women in business community
are not just yet to exhibit
their sisters. We are
we put our mind together to ensure
that when a sister cries, we cry
and when she's winning, we win
so that's one thing that's special about the union
we just need an enabling environment to try
so I think
make accessibility
make funds
accessible to business owners
we do not need to pay through our feet
to access funds
make interest rates, especially
low rates, as low as
possible, and when you see
businesses that are doing very well
i think you should support them there should
be there should be a place for grants for business
owners businesses that are doing well give us grants i think
that's all we can secondly there's
a lot logistics issue power issue see women
are strong if we have a good environment we can do
more i do not want to talk about politics
but however i want you to know that the nigerian
woman generally is a strong woman.
We just need a good business environment to thrive.
The sponsors, in their remarks,
reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the partnership
with women in business.
They also pledged to support initiatives that provide an enabling
environment for women-owned businesses to grow,
thrive and contribute meaningfully to
national development.
Because there's nothing that man loves
to do more than supporting women in business. And
And this year, I can assure you that everything is going to go well,
wonderful with our product that is specialized
to give you what you want.
And we are also looking forward to establishing
a relationship that is going to last forever,
not just for the period of the four days Women in Business program.
We are going to establish a business that is going
to last for as much as we can go on.
We are here to encourage the women in business.
As we all know, women in business is one of the small
and medium enterprises in which the Nigeria Revenue Service has always
been in the business of encouraging them to grow
so that our economy will also grow.
And that is why in the new tax act, the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, there
are a lot of relief packages for the small and medium enterprises.
If you go through it as a vendor, as a business owner,
it will go a long way to help you to know how to, you know,
do your obligation as a taxpayer and you don't need to be coerced.
It stands for affordability when it comes to real estate investment.
Because we believe that real estate investment
is the only way you can build generational wealth
for you and yours.
and how can a woman who is also a homemaker
build this generational wealth?
You can only secure your family's wealth,
your children's future by investing in VAS,
no matter how small.
That's why we've come up with a lot of combo deals
where you can get two plots of land for 1.5 million naira.
Trust me, nobody will give you that.
And I'm encouraging every woman here
as we go into this week in November,
make plans to invest
because that's the only way you can secure.
successful outing. For the media,
for the PR, for the visibility and image
of this brand, we are giving
101% to ensure
that the vendors, when they come
and leave, they will not only leave with
their head held high, they will also leave
with overwhelming patronage,
profits, and indeed
testimony for days to come.
I want to believe this
project
and exercise is
a platform to empower women.
And for the Abuja residents, this is your time,
November 5th to November 8th.
You don't need to be elsewhere except at the venue of this Eagle Square,
the venue of this epoch-making edition.
I want to call on the FCT residents,
the women, business leaders, politicians.
This is your time to shop for the December engagement,
December shoppings.
Don't fail to be part of this
And I want to promise you
The visibility that this brand will give to you
Will not only ensure
Return on investment
But will ensure that your project
Your business
Move from this stage of growth
To a progression
In the direction of increasing performance
