This is America's Munich moment, maybe worse than that,
because this is actually the United States,
whose president used to style himself the leader of the free world,
whose presidents have talked about themselves, their country,
as being the city on a hill.
He is now siding with Vladimir Putin, a bloody dictator,
and he is actively,
actively attacking and undermining Volodymyr Zelensky,
not just with words, but with actions.
So I do believe that it is important for Americans to
speak out. I want to give you two hopeful data points, though.
One is, you know, polling is now
showing that Americans, large majorities of Americans,
large majorities of Republican
Americans are strongly supportive of Ukraine
and strongly critical of Putin. And another data point
that I love is more Americans are supportive
of Canada's tariff retaliation against the United
States than are supportive of American tariffs directed at Canada.
Think about that for a minute.
That is actual Americans. So to me, that is hopeful.
