San Payton Credits Seahawks Defense, but 'We're Gonna See a Lot We Want to Clean Up'

They're one of those defenses that, man, they do a great job of staying on top of things. Like when you put the cut up together, trying to find your shot plays, you really have to come underneath. But we had good balance for that first drive, obviously. And then you're going to you're going to see a handful of things that we didn't do well, even in the run or passing game in the second half. But it's one of the better defenses. And fortunately, we didn't we didn't make any mistakes. And I know that sounds a little conservative, but we felt that was going to be the difference. There's a ton of snaps with that defense where when the quarterback sets, there's nowhere to go. And then there's those off-schedule plays. And Purdy, you know, last week was tremendous with some of those plays. But that was our concern, just timing and rhythm, protection, and, you know, running it. We're going to see a lot that we want to clean up. Yeah, we had a run. We weren't in a four-minute drive. You know, it's a noisy defense. I hear you. You know, it's kind of like you look up and with their timeouts where we were, I think we ran a handoff first, but we weren't in that position yet and we were going to be aggressive. I want to go back and see. I think we got some coverage on the second down. Yeah, obviously you're wanting to burn time. When they sit with all their timeouts, though, it's a little bit more time than you think. but you're totally aware of where you're at there.
