Well, you can see it's a bit of a gloomy start, but we
do have some pokes of sunshine here through the clouds, so good thing,
like I mentioned, we are expected to get more sunshine out there,
but for the most part, all three airports at the moment still showing
that we have temperatures all ranging around
the mid-50s for the most part, and good thing is we're
not seeing any rain now being reported at the weather station.
So, we're starting to dry on out as well,
but there are certain spots that are still seeing some rain,
especially in parts of the western shore here of the Chesapeake,
and then also over towards parts of, as well, southern Maryland.
There we go.
You can see some of that bulk of the heavier rain still lingering into
parts of southern Maryland, going even to parts of northern Virginia.
So, it is still a bit wet for some of us, but you can see, again,
just lots of drier air over just to the north and to the west.
So as that continues to dry on out,
as this cold front pushes through the rest of our area,
it's going to leave us with much drier conditions.
The only bad thing that comes along with it,
as we've been mentioning, is some of that cooler air, right?
So in the city, we could expect
to see temperatures getting up to 59 degrees.
But the thing is, with the wind still whipping around at about 10 to 15
miles an hour and gusts up to about 20 to maybe even 25 miles an hour,
this is where we could see some
of that cooler air feel really settle in, right?
you're out there if you're not really
in the sunshine it starts to feel a little bit not even
a little bit and feels much chillier as we continue
to see a lot of this wind still hanging with us
but for the most part rain is said
and done after about the nine ish ten o'clock ish hour especially
for parts like southern Maryland
and a little further east into northern Virginia that's where
we can still see some of those showers lingering
closer towards about 10 maybe 11 o'clock at least
those light raindrops but hey
then as we head in towards the overnight hours expect it to really
cool down temperature is going to start off we're going
to drop out at 38 degrees so sunday morning
is going to be quite chilly out there
which is why we do have some of these cold weather alerts
again freeze warning over towards parts of the western viewing area
and even some frost advisories
so again if you have sensitive plants just make sure
to cover them up take them inside if you can
cover just protect them
because we do have some of that colder air there that could potentially
leave us with a freeze
then as we head in towards the rest of the day here on sunday
temperatures do rebound quite nicely back
into the upper 50s even some low 60s but look at that
we're going to see a lot of sunshine out there
so that'll at least help make things feel a little
bit better winds will slowly start to die down as well
so certainly going to be much nicer out there
but here looking at future cast by the time we get towards later
on this afternoon we'll finally get
everything out of the area here by about 4 30
so not necessarily it's not going to be a bad day at
all maybe even head out to Wheaton go see
that smoke uh the smoke competition the barbecue
competition there we go and uh
of course have some fun out there Sunday similar situation not going
to be too bad as well plenty of sunshine
and then look at that rinse and repeat Monday same thing
can't really ask for a better 72 hours where we have
a lot of that great sunshine just sitting
with us and as we continue going
into the work week we're going to start to see temperatures
slowly uh getting back into the low to mid 60s
but for the most part still feeling very fall
like out there just pair it with a lot of sunshine
so at least you can get out there and have some of
those nice fall pictures
and some sweaters that you maybe uh have been storing away after all of
that warm weather last week chris caesar read
my mind we need mother nature to cooperate because
We have so.
