Edmonton MMA fighter gears up for first hometown UFC fight

How did you get into fighting coming from Bonneville originally? I did karate growing up and I just liked watching UFC when I was in high school and it just became something I started to want to do. There are more Canadians ever on a UFC fight card this time around. How would you describe the MMA talent when it comes to Edmonton and Alberta? Edmonton has always been a mecca because our commission has allowed cage fighting for just a lot longer than certain other places around the country. It hasn't always been legal everywhere. So, uh, the talent here has always been strong. There's a few people from Alberta, um, on this card, but I, I'm the only one from Edmonton. What's going through your head when you were, when you're in a fight? Can't be much except for exactly what's happening in the fight. Because if you start thinking about anything else, then you're going to, you're going to get caught. You're just behind. So you have to be completely focused on what's going on. You might be thinking of what you should do or what he's going to do, but it's a hundred percent complete and utter focus you can't have your mind anywhere else at all and what's it mean for you too the fact that you have so much of your story tied in with edmonton you've got this hometown crowd and you're gonna have eyes from all over the world watching you here it's a little bit different being that it is here but at the same time i'm used to this kind of thing and i'm i'm ready to go Thank you.
