Police at scene of rollover crash in Highland Park

We have more breaking news in Highland Park right now. Yeah, rollover accident at Midland and Hamilton. Fox 2's Robin Murdoch joins us from the scene with more on what we're seeing here this morning. Robin. Good morning, Jan Tanisha. Yeah, it's a little bit difficult to exactly see what is going on out here because it is so dark out. We're quite a bit away from the accident scene. It does look like crews are dealing with some sort of a rollover accident, have not been able to talk to investigators just yet. I'm going to step out of the way so we can give you a better look at what they are dealing with currently. And as you mentioned, we are right in the area of Hamilton and Midland here in Highland Park. It's close to the Detroit border. Now, it does appear that a vehicle crashed into perhaps a utility pole out here, and that resulted in this rollover accident. DTE, they have been out here. We've seen a couple of different crews since we arrived on scene. We also saw a fire truck leave here just a short time ago. Officers still out here. It is unclear exactly what led up to this crash. Don't know if the driver was speeding. Perhaps drugs or alcohol may have played a role in this. Those are all things that investigators are going to be looking into as part of the investigation. Also, right now we do not know the extent of any injuries. Don't know if anybody was hurt. Don't know if somebody was taken to the hospital before we got there. These are all things that we are going to try and figure out for you. We're going to try and get some confirmed information. Right now, all of us are dealing with what appears to be some sort of a rollover accident right in Midland and Hamilton here in Highland Park. If you rely on this area to get around this morning, you're obviously going to want to find a different route because crews are out here. They've got a lot of the area behind me blocked off at this time. We are going to stay out here. we'll try and get some confirmed information for you and bring you another live report shortly.
