Five Important Signs of Vitamin C Deficiency.

Vitamin C is an important nutrient essential for collagen synthesis, wound healing, and maintenance of healthy blood vessels.

Number one. Gum bleeding.

Your gingivae may become swollen and bleed easily due to impaired collagen formation.

Number two. Easy bruising. Fragile blood vessels can cause bruises to develop even after minor trauma.

Number three. Poor wound healing. Vitamin C deficiency impairs collagen synthesis, delaying tissue repair.

Number four. Perifollicular haemorrhages. Small red or purple spots may appear around hair follicles.

Number five. Corkscrew hairs. Body hairs may become twisted or coiled due to abnormal hair formation.

Including vitamin C rich foods such as guava, oranges, spinach, broccoli, thyme, and bell peppers can prevent the occurance of these symptoms.
