PNW influencer travels country with $0 by highlighting restaurants

Imagine how much planning, coordination, and money you would need to travel all across the entire country. Now, imagine throwing it all to the wind and leaving with nothing but a book bag. FOX 13's A.J. Jannevelle introduces us to one Pacific Northwest content creator who's doing just that in an effort to highlight the generosity of people in the restaurant business. What's up, big dogs? Day one of me traveling across America for zero dollars. How am I going to make it? By working at restaurants along the way. Paxton Leatherman is facing a long and tough journey ahead of him. The rules are all food that I eat, all money that I make and all places that I sleep have to come from a restaurant. And if I can't do that, I have a tent in my bag and I'll figure it out from there. What's up, big dogs? We're in Seattle. More than a year ago, Paxton left a steady and good paying job to create content online. He highlighted small mom and pop restaurants that might not get the normal foodie influencer attention. And I found that there are so many amazing restaurants that we don't necessarily look at or see every single day. About four days ago, Paxton started here in Seattle on his newest journey. I'm gonna DM every single restaurant within like a five mile radius. He's looking for any work he can get in the restaurant industry, like waiting tables or washing dishes, to make a few bucks before he moves on to the next city. He tells me he got about 50 rejections on the first day. Last night we failed on all fronts and we slept in the tent. But there's also been a lot of successes. My second job in the United States.
