Audi Q8: You DON'T have to buy Chinese.

This Audi Q8, yes, has a diesel engine. And nobody wants diesel, right? Unless it’s jeans, although we haven’t seen those for a while either.

But this is an Audi Q8 50 TDI, a big, luxurious, seriously capable SUV that once sat firmly in the £80,000+ part of the market. Today, examples like this can be found for a fraction of that price.

With its 3.0-litre V6 TDI diesel engine, quattro four-wheel drive, automatic gearbox and around 286 PS, the Q8 50 TDI has the sort of effortless performance and long-distance ability that made large diesel SUVs so popular in the first place. It is quiet, comfortable, well equipped and, despite its size, surprisingly easy to live with, unless you want to park it of-course.

But there is a reason a car like this can lose tens of thousands of pounds in value - yes all cars lose money... but this is sometimes a good thing.
