Free luncheon honors Marietta first responders

And a really cool thing going on right now, a big thank you today for people who serve and protect our communities. And boy, do they deserve that thank you. The Janice Overbeck Real Estate Team is hosting a free luncheon on Marietta Square for first responders, active duty military, and veterans. So let's get out to Eli Jordan right now, who is standing by live. Eli, what a great effort going on. Great. Hey. What about Coleslaw? Oh, yeah, it is. It's really cool. Oh, and I'm actually at the Janice Overbeck headquarters on Roswell Road in Marietta. They've got a really nice patio back here, yeah. But I don't want to send first responders to the wrong place because anybody that gets worried about this, come on out. You can get yourself a burger, a hot dog, some beans, some coleslaw, and maybe a little swag bag. They've got massage guns they're giving out to first responders and military to come out here. Because, you know, after a long day of first responding and protecting, a little back rub with a little massage gun is not too bad. But right now with me, I am the woman herself, Janice Overbeck here at Janice Overbeck Real Estate. Hey, Janice, how are you doing? Great. How are you, Eli? I'm doing all right. Not too bad. So this is really cool. This is your 15th semi-annual luncheon of appreciation to first responders, correct? That's right. Yes. So tell me, why is it important for you to do this? It's important because we really want to give back to the local community. We feel like we are a community center that happens to be in the business of selling real estate. We're here on a thoroughfare where almost 70,000 cars pass every day. We have an LED billboard in the front and a 2,000 square foot patio in the back because we bought this event hall 10 years ago. So it's just a perfect fit for us to give back to the amazing first responders and military that deserve recognition and to be given thanks. So you started this back, I guess, pre-pandemic about 2018 or 2018 and so uh um you know you do this twice a year your next one is when our next one is april 14th it's a wednesday from 11 to 2 and we invite all first responders and military retired and veterans everybody out um to our office to enjoy this event and we love to have really fun giveaways each time so if anybody listening is um come on out today yeah come out today we're here till two or mark your calendars also for april and you also i noticed you got like massage corner over there and that's really you know i'm sure that's a you know both massage seats are taken up and real popular and you know being i guess in real estate you guys need to you know rely on officers to show up because you're going to sometimes you know houses that are not occupied it could be a little bit scary yeah absolutely they've always been there for us and um and we definitely want to give back we have over 40 agents and we've certainly had to call on our first responders and so this is going on until two but this isn't just uh for uh cobb county first responders and military it's for everybody it's for all everybody in metro atlanta or whoever wants to however far you want to drive to come if you hear about it we'd love to have you out and uh if you want more information they can just go to what's your website janiceoverbeck.com janiceoverbeck.com Well, Janice, I'm going to let you get back to serving our first responders, and I'm sure they appreciate it. We appreciate it, too, because we all rely on our first responders and our military to help protect and serve us in our communities. Thank you very much, Janice. Thank you, Ike. And, Paul, that's what's going on here. I mean, you know, everybody's coming out. They're taking advantage of getting a free luncheon coming on out. This has just started. This is going on until 2 p.m., and what's really cool, they have the nice little massage chairs going on, and people are taking advantage of that. That's what I was going to ask you to walk over and show. That might be what I'm going to take advantage of. It's been a while since I've had a massage and carrying these cameras around and all that. I'm about due for one. Out here at Janice Overbeck Real Estate, Roswell Road. You can go to JaniceOverbeck.com for more information. In April, if you missed this one, this is semi-annual, so they're going to have one in April, April 14th. Mark your calendars if you want to attend that. Paul, back to you. Okay, so Eli, you're taking a page out of my playbook. You're setting up a segment where you know you'll be well-fed and you'll get a massage. So A-plus for me, my friend. Well, thank you. That means a lot coming from you, Paul. Absolutely. I appreciate it. Yeah, I love that. Very cool. All right, Eli Jordan out there. We appreciate it. We'll see you back here soon. Hopefully see you well-massaged and well-fed.
