The Super Mario Odyssey Stew - Learn how to make THIS iconic dish

The Luncheon Kingdom's tastiest. Stupendous Stew and other Mario Odyssey elements property of Nintendo. It's a great meal for soup weather but is fancy enough to serve to company. Here's how you make Stupendous Stew.

What You Need:

Bechamel:
4 TBL cornstarch
1 1/2 cups milk
3 TBL parmesan cheese

Stew:
1/2 red onion, minced
4 small yellow new potatoes, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 yellow bell pepper, diced
1 TBL canola oil
1 LB chicken leg meat, diced
3 cups veggie broth
Salt and Pepper to taste

In a small saucepan, whisk together your cornstarch and a little bit of your milk until it dissolves. Add remaining milk and bring to a boil. Once it boils, take off the heat and add cheese. Set aside.

Add canola oil to a large soup pot over high heat. Once it begins to smoke, add chicken and season with salt and pepper. Stir as it cooks until lightly brown. Add diced onions and cook another couple minutes.

Add veggie broth and bring to a boil. Add potatoes. Cover and cook on low heat for 20-30 minutes or until chicken and potatoes are cooked through.

To finish stew, whisk in bechamel and bring to a boil. Once thick, stir in diced peppers. Season to taste and ladle into bowls. Serve piping hot with fresh bread.

The Stupendous Stew is a stew made by the Volbonans of the Luncheon Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. It is the kingdom's famous cuisine found in a giant pot atop Mount Volbono.

During the events of the game, a large bowl of stew is stolen by Bowser and the Broodals as a meal for Princess Peach's forced marriage to the Koopa king. After Mario defeats Bowser in the Moon Kingdom, the Stupendous Stew is returned.
