🎬 ABOUT JOHNNY ALLEGRO 🎬
In an effort to rehabilitate his image, ex-gangster Johnny Allegro (George Raft) agrees to cooperate with a Treasury Department investigation into an international counterfeiting and smuggling ring run by Morgan Vallin (George Macready). Concerned that he is behind a right-wing conspiracy to undermine the U.S. economy with a flood of bogus currency, the department enlists Vallin's wife, Glenda Chapman (Nina Foch), to help Allegro infiltrate the organization. But after the ringleader uses his trademark silver-tipped arrows to kill two associates who dared to challenge him, Allegro and Glenda must stay out of the line of fire until they can be rescued by their government handlers.
