Skyrim Sweetroll Recipe

Ingredients:
Starter:
50g bread flour
150g milk
4g yeast

The Rest:
200g bread flour
1 egg yolk
50g sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
70g butter
Zest of 1 lemon, optional
1/2 tsp salt

Optional Filling:
1/3 cup golden raisins

Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 TBL lemon juice
Pinch of vanilla

For starter: In an airtight container, place milk, flour, and yeast. Mix until combined. Cover and allow to get foamy, about one hour.

For dough: Add starter, the rest of the flour, egg yolk, sugar, vanilla, zest, and salt to a bowl. Mix until the dough just comes together. Cover, and allow to rest for about 25 minutes. Knead the dough until it becomes shiny and stretchy, eight to 10 minutes.

Knead in all the butter and continue to knead until it comes together into a soft dough once again, another eight to 10 minutes. Cover, and allow to rest for 1.5 to 2 hours or until doubled in size. Punch out the dough, and mix in raisins if you wish.

Divide dough into four or so equal pieces. Spray down four small Kugelhopf molds with no stick spray. Roll the pieces into balls, then flatten them out. Poke holes into the center using your fingers, then slide into prepared molds.

Allow these rolls to rise once more, 30 minutes to an hour, or until they come up to the top of the mold. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. If they start to darken too quickly, tent loosely with foil.

Once done, allow to cool in pans for five minutes, then remove from pan and allow to cool completely before icing them.

For icing: Mix together ingredients in a bowl. Carefully drizzle the icing over the rolls. Go light with the frosting! Allow the icing to set before devouring.
