How to Remove Tree Roots for the Average Joe Made Easy!

Oh man I'm all out of breath. You see where the root used to be right there? Well I thought I'd do a different way than a sawzall to show you. But if you don't have a sawzall here's what you could do. I didn't even use my lopper shears. This is all I used right here. That's it. I set that down in there, beat it in there, split it, split it, split it. Here's the pieces right here. Here they are right here. Look at that. Because it was coming at such an angle I would have had to dig it real far in order to get my sawzall down in there without getting my sawzall down down in the dirt and thought and all and i thought nothing doing i'm just gonna i'm just gonna do it a different way to show you that you don't have to have every tool in the tool shed in order to do things you know this is all in fact i'm probably not even going to use this shovel this is this is all the stuff that i've used just this stuff right here okay and i make and i'm making it work all right use the tools you have and hopefully you got a few good things that you have an idea that'll work and just and just keep going okay so now i've got this area now i could start digging from here this way and filling in this hole because i've got all this dirt over here i'm just going to keep digging this over because i know i know there's going to be a few a few roots in here some stragglers and the big root that i split off was over here then the other thing you have to you have to be careful of remember i i installed these uh these landscape lights so i have i have the wire along here so you can't just take a big old pick and and and and stuff and start digging up here because see here's this here's the landscape wire that goes along to each one of these and i only i only have it buried a couple inches down in the ground see here here's a piece right there and they go all along here see you know plus i have a sprinkler line that comes down into the grass and so you just have to be careful especially if you're gonna take something like this I took one root and just set it like that and beat on this you got to make sure to keep your hands out of the way your knee make sure that you know for sure that you're on top of a root you're not on top of something springy that you think oh yeah that's a root and then you chop right into your drip irrigation main pipe your three-quarter inch or five-eighths or half inch whatever it is and now you don't realize it until next time you turn the water on your drippers aren't working you've got big old puddle water here now you got to dig it up hey everything's fixable but it's just slow and go pick pick pick pick pick pick and away i go some more
