Man Size in Marble

Created for Dreamina’s SPOOKY SEASON competition, Man-Size in Marble grew into a 10-minute period ghost story inspired by the tradition of British television adaptations of classic supernatural fiction — particularly the atmospheric ghost stories associated with the winter and Christmas season.
Rather than treating the story as conventional horror, I wanted to build the film around atmosphere and visual storytelling: the warmth of a young couple’s Victorian home, the cold English countryside, an ancient church, candlelight, darkness — and two medieval knights carved in marble.
The film was created with Dreamina / Seedance 2.5, with particular emphasis on its cinematic capabilities: continuous camera movement, long takes, character performance, dialogue, period environments and the gradual visual transition from period drama into supernatural horror.
Original score created with Suno.
Based on “Man-Size in Marble” by E. Nesbit.
