Walter, a brilliant but reclusive scientist, lives in a decaying, post-apocalyptic urban landscape. He is secretly working to create an artificial human, Puzzlehead, an android built in his own image. His goal is to upload his own consciousness and memories into the machine to achieve a form of immortality. The experiment takes a dark "Frankenstein-ish" turn when the android begins to develop its own personality and a dangerous, violent obsession with Julia, a local woman whom Walter secretly loves from afar. This creates a deadly triangle as Walter must confront the monster he has built.
