Explanation of If Clauses through Interesting Life Event

It's one of the lessons which I taught to CBSE students. It's about an incident happened when Sunil Gavaskar, one of the best Indian cricketers was born. He had a hole in his left ear lobe. It was noticed by his uncle. The next day when he went to see the boy, he realised that he was not his nephew because he had no hole in any of his ear lobes. While searching Sunil was found beside a woman belonged to Fisher community. Perhaps after giving bath to both the babies their places changed.
So Sunil Gavaskar said humorously " If I hadn't had the hole in my left ear lobe, I would have been brought up as a fisherman and would have made my livelihood by catching fish. "
Present lesson which I had taken was about Conditional Clauses ( If clauses... ) . As such in order to create interest towards the topic, this life event had been chosen.
