FISH KEEPERS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS!
Don't say it unless you can prove it. That should be the rule for every recommendation made to a new fish hobbyist. Sadly it is not.
Many ideas are manure spread on weeds. When you offer a suggestion make sure it contains good seed that will yield real benefits.
And if you do not know, admit it. Do not fall into the trap of saying something you heard once just to make yourself look good. Eventually it will make you look bad. IOW, speak what you know to be true.
TBH I do not follow my own advice all the time. When I don't I get caught. Not fun to get caught.

Video Summary
AI GeneratedFather Fish demonstrates through empirical evidence that aquatic plants can and do grow successfully in sand. By physically removing various plant species from a sand substrate, he proves that roots develop easily regardless of plant size or sand grain fineness, debunking common misconceptions in the fish-keeping hobby.
