A Real Day on Our 17 Acre Homestead - New Puppies & Farm Chores.

Day 3 with Henry & Lucie! 🐕🐕🤎

Today is another busy day on the farm with our two new Maremma livestock guardian puppies.

I started the morning with a little one-on-one training with each puppy for about 10 minutes individually. Since they’re littermates, I’m making sure they get plenty of individual time with me instead of doing everything together.

After training, it’s back to normal farm life—feeding animals, doing chores, running down to the Amish store for some more chicken feed and supplies, refilling the chicken feed, and working on a new puppy pen beside the chicken coop.

The puppies aren’t in the pen with the chickens just yet. Right now, I’m simply preparing their space and getting everything ready for that next step. They’ll eventually be able to spend time near the chickens while I supervise and work on getting them comfortable around all the sights and sounds of farm life.
