2 teens in custody after guns, marijuana found in backpacks at high school football game

Two teenagers are in police custody after guns and marijuana were found in backpacks hidden on the campus of Harry S. Truman High School during a home football game Friday night, according to Bristol Township police and the school district.

Police said the teens initially attempted to enter the game with backpacks but were turned away because of the district's no-backpack policy for home football games.

Investigators said the teens then hid the backpacks on school grounds, entered the game and were later identified. School staff located the backpacks and discovered the weapons inside. Police officers who were already on site took the teens into custody.
