Honey Badger Pulls a Porcupine From Her Den... Then 5 Hyenas Rush the Cubs | Wildlife Documentary
-
An African Crested Porcupine mother leaves her two young pups hidden deep inside their burrow and heads out to feed.

Then five Spotted Hyenas find her.

The pack spreads out and begins attacking from different directions, forcing the mother to abandon her meal and race back toward the den.

The Hyenas follow.

Once inside, the Porcupine turns around and blocks the narrow entrance with her quill-covered back.

One Hyena tries to force its way in.

Another attacks from the side.

Each attempt ends with painful quills, and eventually the pack retreats.

The two pups are safe.

But the damaged entrance has attracted another opportunist.

A Honey Badger follows the fresh tracks to the burrow and begins digging.
