Two mysterious military transport aircraft have reportedly landed in Iran with their transponders switched off, triggering a wave of speculation over their possible mission and cargo. Unverified reports claim one aircraft was a C-130 that landed at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport, while social-media claims suggest it may have been carrying previously frozen Iranian funds routed through Turkey. There is no independent confirmation of that claim. A second mystery transport aircraft was also reportedly seen arriving in Iran, with no confirmed details about its origin or payload. The reported flights come as tensions between Tehran and Washington escalate, with U.S. President Donald Trump threatening renewed strikes after the midterm elections and Washington moving a third aircraft carrier toward the Middle East.
