Hello October🍂 Autumn Recipes, Herbal Remedies, a Cozy Day at Home

Welcome to October 🍂 Today I’m spending a cosy autumn day at home, embracing some of my favourite seasonal rituals and simple traditional skills. I’m straining my homemade blackberry vinegar, finishing a batch of fire cider ready for the colder months, gathering and drying beautiful autumn leaves, and baking a delicious coffee cake.
Along the way, I’m having a little catch-up about life lately and enjoying the slower rhythm that October brings. I hope this video inspires you to celebrate autumn wherever you live, learn simple skills, make things with your own hands and find a little more magic in ordinary everyday life.
Thank you for spending this cosy October day with me 🤎
~ For Blackberry vinegar:
-450g blackberries
-300ml cider vinegar or white vinegar
Mash berries, add to a pot and stir in the vinegar. Leave to sit for 5 days and stir every so often. After 5 days, strain the liquid and for every 300ml vinegar add 220g sugar. Simmer gently for about 10 - 15 mins and then pour into sterilised container, and enjoy! It will keep in a cool, dark place for up to a year.
