moved abroad problems in paradise
☀︎ WELCOME TO FRESH START STICKS ☀︎
We’re a family of five building a new life abroad — leaving the UK behind, moving overseas, renovating our home and creating a more independent family lifestyle.
After first moving to Bulgaria, we eventually realised it wasn’t the right place for us to settle long-term. In 2026, our journey took us to Türkiye, where we’re starting the next chapter of our lives.
Now we’re renovating our new home, exploring rural living, homeschooling, growing our own food, travelling as a family and figuring things out as we go.
No experts. No big production crew. Just our family, learning along the way and sharing the reality of starting again abroad.
OUR GOALS 🌱
→ Build a new life abroad
→ Renovate our home
→ Create more freedom and family time
→ Grow more of our own food
→ Explore Türkiye and beyond
→ Build a sustainable future for our family
