How and Why Do Fish Die??
Fish do not die from old age. Fish die from several different reasons. First your fish die in your average aquarium and here's why: Your average fish tank has gravel substrate, fake plants, fish with ich and non-nutritional dry fish food. This is a ''Death Tank!" Stop Killing Your Fish!
Secondly, fish die from diseases in captivity they are immune from in the wild. As well as, red algae which is a bacteria caused by oxygen deprivation due to a overwhelming amount of nutrients dumped into the water.
Third, small fish are eaten by big fish. The biggest fish are eaten by the littlest parasite. The parasite doesn't mean to kill its host, out in the wild, this doesn't happen.
Fourth, fishermen catch them.
Father Fish has the solution to the aquarium side of each of these problems, except for the fourth one!
Lou Foxwell adopted the role of Father Fish many years ago when he opened a tropical fish store as a retirement business. Prior to this, he served as a missionary for 25 years, following in his father's footsteps by ministering to a congregation of deaf worshipers.
Lou fondly recalls his grandmother in Berlin, Germany, who inspired his love for fish keeping as a child. As a founder and original board member of the National Aquarium, Lou played a significant role in its development, serving as chair of the Community Relations Committee and participating in hiring the first Director of the Aquarium.
With extensive experience across nearly every level of the fish industry, Father Fish offers a wealth of knowledge and products, including plants, soil supplements, and more, to enhance your aquarium experience.

Video Summary
AI GeneratedFish theoretically do not possess an aging gene and do not experience senescence like mammals. Instead, their mortality is driven by external factors: starvation, oxygen deprivation caused by nutrient-driven bacterial blooms, predation, and human intervention. While parasites are ubiquitous, they rarely kill healthy hosts in nature, as biological diversity maintains a natural balance.
