The Clover Club Cocktail

Today we're making a Clover Club. It's a classic pre-prohibition-era cocktail. It's not that hard to make at home. Use raspberry syrup or crush 3-5 raspberries with simple syrup. If you like cosmopolitans, this might be a good drink to branch out to. It does involve an egg white, and I explain techniques for frothing this just right.

The Clover Club

1 1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz dry vermouth
1/2 oz raspberry syrup
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 egg white

Dry shake (no ice) all the ingredients first. Then add ice and shake again. Strain into a cold glass.
