Margaret “Marge” Keen, 89 , passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Marge was born in Lambertville on October 24, 1936. She attended Lambertville High School. She was employed by the Acme Supermarket for over 33 years, first in the Lambertville store and later in Lawrenceville. She retired as head cashier after 33 years of dedicated service.

Marge was active in her community. She was a volunteer at the dining room at the Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad, assisting at dozens of weddings, receptions and fundraisers to benefit the Squad as well as many other local charities. Marge was also a member of the Lambertville Elks Club and enjoyed many activities with the Lambertville and West Amwell senior citizen groups.

She was a dedicated member at the Old Rocks Church in West Amwell. Marge was often the first to come in on a Sunday morning, making coffee for the early arrivals and setting up refreshments for after the services. During the week she watched Joel Osteen every morning

Marge enjoyed listening to country music and worship music, playing bingo and the occasional trip to the casino. She loved evenings on her front porch, chatting with old friends and making new ones, often admiring their dogs. Her house was always decorated for the holidays and throughout the year.

Marge was dedicated to her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spoke to her sisters Rose and Mary by phone every evening.

Marge was the wife of the late Clarence Keen, the mother of the late Kenneth W. Wilson, the grandmother of the late Abby Lin-Mikayla Keen, the daughter of the late Nicolas and Marion Ditmar Esposito and the sister of the late David Esposito, Nicolas J. Esposito and Betty Ann Woolverton.

Marge is survived by her children Donna Knechel and her husband Richard; stepdaughter Connie Fisher and her husband Danny and son James Keen and his wife Melissa, all of Lambertville; her sisters Mary Buckner of Doylestown, PA and Rose Burkholder of Blooming Glen, PA; her brother William Esposito and his wife Edna of Kutztown, PA; her brother-in-law Jake Woolverton of Ewing, NJ and her sister-in-law Ethel Esposito of Lambertville.

Marge is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses Kris Knechel and his wife Tavi Rastogi of Minneapolis, MN, Alex and Cassie Knechel of Hopewell, NJ, Rhonda Keen, Carson Keen, James Keen and David Jeremiah Keen all of Independence, Kansas; Sharon Pinto and her husband Noah of Titusville, NJ; Danielle Fisher of Lambertville, Brian Fisher of Lambertville, Jennifer Wilson and her fiancé Tim Wiliams of Lambertville and Eric Wilson of Pennsylvania; her many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her many nieces and nephews and their families.
