Hatboro woman accused of writing $850K in bad checks; more victims sought

A Hatboro woman is facing felony charges after police say she wrote more than $850,000 in bad checks to her own relatives, prompting an investigation that detectives describe as highly unusual.

Hatboro police said Jessica Babb, 34, turned herself in on Monday and was released on unsecured bail.

Detective Sgt. Conner Dilks said the case began in July when Hatboro Federal Savings contacted police about two bounced checks.
