We Waited for the Rain… It Never Came! 🌧️🐴 | A Day with Wilson & Kasa

We headed to the barn expecting a rainy day—the forecast said rain from 8 AM to 3 PM—so we figured we'd spend some quiet time with Wilson and Kasa and skip riding for the day.

After breakfast, we took them out to the paddock for some hay, snacks, grooming, and a little quality time. Since we thought the rain was coming any minute, I decided to use the time to work with Wilson on simply standing quietly at the post.

If you know Wilson, you know that's actually a pretty big accomplishment! 😂 He normally wants to be involved in EVERYTHING—your grooming supplies, your tack, someone else's gear… and if he can chew on it, even better!

But today he was a gentleman. Give that big guy some hay and water and apparently we've discovered the secret! 🐴❤️

And the rain we were waiting for?

It never came! 😂

We could have ridden after all!

But that's life at the barn. Sometimes the best days aren't about riding—they're just about slowing down and enjoying time with your horses.
