Last Year on My Son’s Birthday, I Had COVID & He Stepped In 💜 | Caregiving Doesn’t Pause for Illness

#onthisday last year, I had COVID — on my son’s birthday. 🎂
All the plans were canceled, and instead of celebrating him like I wanted to, I was stuck resting and recovering.

But even with COVID, the caregiver duties didn’t stop.
I still made sure Mama’s clothes were washed. My son stepped in where he could, and I’ll never forget that. 💜

A week later, I was finally able to visit Mama — and you could tell she missed me. We had a sweet moment of reconnection... and then, in true Mama fashion, she was back to doing her own thing. 😅

This video is a reminder that caregivers get sick too. We’re not machines. And even when our bodies say rest, our hearts still try to show up.
