A HARD Dementia Day | Taking This Journey One Moment at a Time 💜

Mama was pacing back and forth, walking up and down, unable to settle long enough to eat. When I finally got her to sit down, she couldn’t feed herself. It was as if she didn’t recognize the spoon—or what to do with it.

I had just come from the gym, already physically and mentally depleted… and then this moment met me at the door.

But I didn’t give up.

I kept encouraging her.
I stayed calm.
I stayed present.

And eventually—she used the spoon and put food in her mouth.

This is dementia.
Progress doesn’t come in big wins.
It comes one moment at a time.
