A COTSWOLD WINTER by Geoff Maxted

As is probably obvious by the title, my wife Beverley and I live deep in the heart of the Cotswolds region, in England. It is a beautiful, peaceful place dotted with ancient villages. The region is, inevitably a hub for tourism attracting people from all over the world. In Winter however, it is a very different. A place of mists, clouds and damp woodlands and huddled cottages. I have tried to reflect this in my photographs.

I am a retired lecturer and now a writer and photographer. I’m never happier than when I am out with my camera. I’m starting a Substack page as my next project, taking a photographic look at the other side of tourism.
