UN resolutions on Palestine face reality of settlement expansion and occupation

Israeli forces have shut down UNRWA facilities in East Jerusalem and continue to expand illegal settlements in the West Bank. Despite UN resolutions and international court rulings declaring the occupation unlawful, the lack of enforcement mechanisms and political obstacles, such as U.S. visa denials for Palestinian leadership, leave Palestinians without a viable path to statehood.
