Potential weekend nor'easter eyeing up the Jersey shore

Strong winds are expected to bring minor to moderate tidal flooding to parts of the Jersey Shore beginning with Wednesday evening's high tide, prompting officials to warn residents about flooded roadways, dangerous surf and beach erosion.

Waves of 6 to 12 feet are forecast over the next several days, while officials monitor a coastal storm's approach that could affect the weekend.

A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until early Saturday morning.
