19-year-old ambushed, killed outside of rideshare vehicle
Two gunmen shot and killed a 19-year-old and fired more than 40 shots right as he was trying to get into a rideshare vehicle Wednesday morning in the city's Overbrook section, police said.
Investigators said it happened at around 2:30 a.m. along the 800 block of Wynnewood Road near Lansdowne Avenue
Neighbors described hearing rapid gunfire.
"I know the difference between firecrackers and gunshots, and that was gunshots," said neighbor Victor Crenshaw.
