Yemen is facing a fresh escalation as the Houthi leader lashes out at Saudi Arabia on the anniversary of the group’s takeover of Sanaa. The latest tensions come amid competing reports of deadly attacks across Yemen.

Yemen’s Ministry of Human Rights accused Houthi forces of striking a commercial market in Lahj province with two ballistic missiles, reportedly injuring civilians and damaging businesses and vehicles. The ministry said initial information indicated the missiles were launched from Houthi-controlled territory in Ibb.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s SABA news agency reported that six people, including two infants and a woman, were killed in what it described as Saudi airstrikes west of Taiz.
