Obviously very disappointed in the outcome, not what we wanted or expected.
I did think, I really felt like this is gonna be a 60 minute close game, and
we just didn't play well enough to create that opportunity.
That's a really, our fan base doesn't know UConn, but they know them now.
That's a very, very well built and
well coached football team that did not make a lot of mistakes.
And just felt like we got manhandled a little bit.
Size, and we didn't have many matchups in our favor, and
we had to mitigate those with really solid, very detailed execution play.
And just didn't get enough of that, and just kind of got manhandled all night.
So knew that was a possibility, was hoping we could mitigate that with
getting the ball out on the perimeter and playing with tempo on offense.
And at times we did, just didn't do it enough.
Was hoping that our quickness, some of our man coverage and
some blitzes would maybe make them uncomfortable offensively.
And just didn't get enough of that either.
Clearly, you can't have turnovers.
If you have turnovers and you can't create them, you're gonna lose.
It's that simple, and we had two pretty careless ones, and
they just didn't give us a lot of opportunity.
It's one of 12, I just told the guys, it's one of 12.
It's a learning opportunity.
Embarrassed, disappointed, not in them, but for them.
They did a phenomenal job with their effort and
attitude throughout the course of the game.
I challenged them at halftime to really just continue to play,
no matter what the scoreboard was.
And I think they did a good job of that.
Guys didn't point fingers, we didn't have problems on the sideline.
They stayed together, they were positive coming off.
And just told them, really, we're trying to find out who we are and
grow quickly as we get further and further than this.
When people look more and more like us, so we don't miss opportunities.
But we didn't play our best ball tonight.
And for that, we gotta do a better job in every aspect, from coaches, players,
from top to bottom, so what questions do you have?
