Divers Found Ancient Ruins Near Japan - They're 10,000 Years Old

In 1986, a diving instructor was scouting the waters off a tiny Japanese island, looking for a good spot to bring tourists. Instead, 80 feet down, he found something that has divided scientists ever since. Rising out of the seabed was a massive stone structure with flat terraces and sharp, straight edges. What looked like giant steps carved into the rock, stacked up like a sunken pyramid. It was the size of a building, and it looked unmistakably made. This is the Yonaguni Monument. And if a human hand really shaped it, there is a staggering problem. This stretch of seabed was above water at the end of the last Ice Age, roughly 10,000 years ago. That would make it older than the pyramids, older than the first cities. So is it a lost city, or a spectacular trick of geology?
