Exploring Finch Hatton Gorge: To escape the sea winds, the family decides to head inland to explore Finch Hatton. They tackle a rather challenging hike with numerous stairs and young kids in tow to reach the "Wheel of Fire" waterfall. In return, they get to immerse themselves in the beautiful, crystal-clear, icy-cold rock pools at the top of the falls.

The Eungella Hurdle: While trying to drive their camper up the mountain to Eungella Dam for the views, they encounter a sign prohibiting vehicles over 11 meters long. To be safe, they decide to turn around. Regardless, the weather was very cloudy at the time, so they wouldn't have been able to enjoy the scenery anyway.

Camping at Black Iron & Creek Play: Continuing north on the Bruce Highway, they set up camp at a spacious campground called Black Iron, located south of Proserpine. The kids spend the entire afternoon connecting with nature, even using their parents' flip-flops as toy boats in the creek.

Camp Cooking: The mother (Elena) shares a super quick, no-bake vanilla custard slice recipe to satisfy the kids' sweet cravings. For dinner, the father (Nick) cooks crispy-skin Nannygai (caught on a previous trip), which receives rave reviews from the whole family.

Arriving at Airlie Beach: The video concludes as the family arrives in Airlie Beach to get their boat motor serviced. They park right in the center of town and prepare to wait for a good weather window to take their boat out to the outer reef on their next excursion.
