Davenport High School student killed in crash

A 14-year-old Davenport High School student, Lamond Prince Mohammed, died after being struck by an SUV while riding an electric scooter at the intersection of U.S. 27 and McAfee Drive. Investigators believe the incident was an unfortunate accident, as the driver had the right of way. The community is mourning the loss of the well-liked freshman.
