Restoration of an oil painting on canvas by the European artist Hueber (1838) 🎨. A comprehensive restoration process was carried out: patches were removed from the reverse side, tears were mended, surface grime was cleaned off, the ground and paint layers were consolidated, the edges were lined, the stretcher bar was repaired, the canvas was re-stretched, losses were filled with new ground, inpainting was performed, and the painting was varnished. The painting has been restored to exhibition-ready condition.

Ivan the Restorer takes on the task of saving an 1838 portrait of an unknown woman by Johann Hueber. The process involves repairing severe damage to the stretcher, cleaning the canvas of centuries of accumulated dirt, soot, and amateurish alterations, restoring lost sections of the paint layer, and returning the artwork to its original appearance.
