Hey good morning everyone. Today we are in Malacueo, Chile
and going snowboarding at Coralco Ski Resort for the first
day of the trip. Coralco is on the Lonquime volcano
which makes for a very unique snowboarding experience.
Snowboarding with my girlfriend Tessa. Have you ever rode a volcano before?
No. Oh actually yes, Mount Hood. That counts. So let's see how this place
compares to Mount Hood. It should be really cool. Yeah, it's good.
Ahead of us we've got this rocky drive out of our cabin.
About 20 minutes to the town and then we're heading up to
the volcano.
You want to try going down this?
Nice views up here today Tessa. You like it so far?
Tessa's spotting a nice soft patch for me.
It's a little bit windy out here. You see one?
Down there. We're battling the wind out here so it's a beautiful day.
No sky, isn't sun, but I think we found a nice little spot and then
yeah, I'm just gonna keep riding. Yeah, just be careful of these chunky pits right here.
We'll venture and find some stuff. Okay.
Even like cool sides, okay? That would be cool. Maybe I'll roll up that hill and I'll go all the way down.
I feel like that side is crusty and this side is soft. Okay, okay.
Ready? Yep. So how did the first few laps at Crayola go?
You can literally ride everywhere without
you know, dealing with a crusty snow. Yeah. Yeah.
It's so good. It's really good. I love it. Good.
Okay, be careful here, okay? Be careful. Come this way.
Because they've dug out like a road right there.
Look, see? It's like a cliff. It's a drop. They've dug out like a drop. But watch.
Okay. Okay, watch me look out for the chunks, okay?
Watch out for chunks.
Yeah, so we just had our first couple laps here back in Corralco.
The thing that stands out to me the most are the views.
It's like so beautiful up here with like the volcano and the blue sky and like
the clouds rolling by. But yeah, on top of that, it's so fun
just exploring this resort. You got so much to explore because you can ride
everywhere. You can, you know, go in any direction.
And so, yeah, we've been finding some really fun runs.
What did you get there, Tessa? We have the, uh, I don't know what bread.
This is ciabatta. Ciabatta bread? Ciabatta, yeah.
With some cheese and olives. With cheese and olives.
And we also got like a chocolate like bun.
Olive, olive.
We've got, I think they call it a tinaja, but it's a hot tub that you have to
build a fire in. So we got the fire going.
Probably get pretty hot and smoky. So air goes in there, heats it up,
comes out of the chimney, and then down here is the hot tub.
Oh, it's just getting warm. This thing has been heating up for like
four hours. Oh, it's finally warm. Oh, and I've got this paddle. I'm supposed
to like mix the hot tub up, circulate the water.
This is the place here. In the background is the river.
Can't quite see it, but there is a river down there.
Tessa, the hot tub is getting hot. It's getting hot.
All right, so on the CD player, we've been listening to some pretty good hits.
We've got Led Zeppelin. We've got the Fuji's Greatest Hits.
And this video is from Nevado State Cheon, just uploading it now.
If you guys haven't, go back and watch this one.
Oh, it's hot. Is it really hot?
It's hot. Oh, wow.
Oh, it's cold at the bottom. It's cold at the bottom because the water has to mix around.
It's good. Yeah, okay.
Okay, you're done? Bye.
