Rob Carson Show opening monologue (9/17/26)

We have a prediction that I made years ago. I said that when Joe Biden increased the size of the federal government during COVID by 40% that the Democrat party and others would loot the treasury, would loot it, and we are finding just trillions of dollars in fraud. More of this faux daycare nonsense, more, I mean, it is utterly, utterly ridiculous how badly we're being screwed as taxpayers. And honestly, the Democrats, of course, think they're gonna win in the midterms. Okay, sure, all right, yeah, you know what? You keep believing that. Don't stop believing, hold on to that feeling, cuz we're gonna kick your butt up between your shoulders. This is kind of interesting, a little surprise, but not really. Now, I remember last week there was a big NFL game on Wednesday night, and they said that their viewership was down 11%. It was down 11% compared to last season. I was like, what the heck was going on last Wednesday night? And then I realized, it was open night at the midterm convention, and everybody's like, it wasn't that, no, it wasn't that. Even some of the Republicans around the Newsmax building, they were coming in to do appearances and whatnot. Looked at me like, what, really, you think that maybe the reason that the numbers were down on that game is cuz of Republican midterms, I don't think so. I mean, I was there, and it didn't look that great. I'm like, well, really, really? Okay, well, how about this? How about 100 million viewers across cable news and live stream platforms? Did you just hear what I said, 100 million? Garnered 100 million live stream and cable news views last week. 100 million views tallied across social media live streams, including Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, as well as cable news, according to a source familiar. And the data reviewed by Breitbart News, actually, is what did it. And here's what it is. It's hard to quantify the number of eyes who are watching, when they're watching, etc. Cuz we have so many different platforms for streaming. For instance, we have a lot of streamers who watch my face every day for an average of an hour and 39 minutes on four Newsmax social media platforms. Then you've got all of the views post-show. Then you've got the podcast. Then you've got etc., etc., etc. However, that's a hell of a lot of people. So it could be 80 million people. It could be 150 million people. We don't know. But I'll tell you this. The Democrat counter protest attracted 120 people near the convention center in Dallas and no views at all because the Democrats are nothing but negative. Here's the Democrat party and here's what they're trying to do right now. And I need you to pay attention. I need you to take my advice and overwhelm the left with joy and faith and patriotism. You're being unrealistic. No, I'm not. I'm not being unrealistic at all. The Democrat party is doing D word for Richard to make the country a better place. They destroyed the country for four years. They opened the southern border. The biggest hurdle we have right now is a vacuum of any good news being reported. We had low unemployment. Unemployment went down again today. 196,000 people filed for unemployment out of a country of 350 million people, for God's sake. We've got manufacturing coming back. Oh, the gas prices are high. Yeah, well, also, we are destroying the biggest state sponsor of terror in all, most of your lifetimes, okay? I was a kid when the IA HOLA took over and Iran began its terrorism campaign, 50,000 terrorist attacks around the stinking world. We now control the Panama Canal. We now control the southern border. We now control the Strait of Hormuz. We're now energy dependent. We now have $23 trillion of new investments coming into America, factories being built, tax breaks for people who need it. He's doing everything right. But you've got a vacuum of good news and doom and gloom from the left. And here's just a little montage. This is just yesterday. Don't hear you. Rob, don't hear you. What did you say, Brian? Not hearing anything. You're not hearing anything. Well, Brian, you should be hearing something. Yeah, I hear you. I just don't hear the sound. Oh, try that now. Here, we'll try that now, I say. Trump's approval rating with independence is 10% on the economy. I'd say I've never seen a number that low. Costs are up, chaos is up, corruption is up. People sit at their kitchen tables and ask, how am I going to make this work next month? That's not a middle right left issue. That's a basic affordability. Yeah, well, you see that happened with Joe Biden when he was the president. Joe Biden was the president. We had empty shelves. We had 9% inflation in the second year. We saw that you could fill up your groceries cart at Walmart for $250. Just now filling the bottom of the cart, and it's still there. That wasn't caused by Donald Trump. The reason why you're paying $57,000 now for a new car versus $35,000 was because of Joe Biden, because of all the nonsense of COVID, because of destroying the supply chain, because of the green energy nonsense. And then, of course, looting the treasury, looting the treasury wholesale. We're going to get all that. But you know what? For those who don't believe me, here's Mike Johnson. And Brian, thank you for telling me about the audio. I want everybody to hear these words. Let's reminisce about Joe Biden's presidency. Remember this, because it seems like a long time that's gone by. But this is just less than two years ago. We had a country on the brink of ruin. We had criminals and cartels, had free reign over the border. That's true. I remember that. Yeah, that was true. Yeah. Americans of all ages were dying from fentanyl overdoses. Yeah, there was that. Great scourge upon the country. Oh, yeah, 100,000 per year. Inflation soared to over 9% under Joe Biden. I remember that. Used to be able to buy chicken breast for $1.88 a pound at Walmart. Now they're $2.98 on sale. Forty-year high. Our cities were awash with violent crime. Washington, D.C. was a crap hole. Jobs were closing, and American jobs were moving overseas. That's true. And radical, woke politics were invading classrooms from kindergarten to college campuses. Don't forget, they said that little boys could become girls and compete in girls' sports. The American people were not down with that. No. And they also censored all of our speech on social media. Communities in their classrooms, in their pocketbooks, families are feeling the devastating effects of Democrat leadership and their false vision for what America is. It was spectacular. And in 2024, the people said, that's enough. Yeah, we did. They wanted a change. Yeah, we did. So they elected and returned Donald J. Trump back to the White House. Yeah, we did. And they gave our party, the Republicans, control of the House and the Senate. Yep. In just 19 short months since that happened, we have turned the ship of state around. We're in the process of doing that. It doesn't turn overnight, as you know. It's like a giant aircraft carrier, my Navy veteran here would tell you. Yeah, and then, of course, the Democrat Party has decided, after Kamala Harris, the dumbest candidate in the history of the presidency, or at least running for president, she got destroyed. Donald Trump destroyed her. And the left is underestimating us. They are underestimating the warriors of MAGA, who endured 10 years of nonsense. We are battle-hardened, not battle-weary. This is literally within 100 days of Donald Trump taking office a year and a half ago. This is how it started. This is where it's always been. It is 100 days of chaos. From one end of the government and one end of the country to the other. They are driving us toward a painful Republican recession. Tariffs that, as I predicted, are clearly inviting a recession. This is an economic Armageddon that's coming for the U.S. consumer and the economy. You see all of his... Now we already had it under Joe Biden, you moron. Cabinet members, his other aides, going on TV and glorifying the tariff-mageddon we have just been through and are still going through. President Trump shrugs as the stock market plunges and the dollar weakens. That was within 100 days after Joe Biden drove the country into the crapper. That was within 100 days and we've had to deal with this now for 10 years. And they think that their negative, their Trump hate is going to propel them to win back both houses of Congress even though they are offering absolutely nothing but they're pivoting into communism. Okay, sure. Good luck with that. Oh, by the way... We love to win. Winning, winning, so much winning. It's lots of winning. Lots of winning, lots of winning, lots of winning, lots of winning, lots of winning. It's oh so good. Here is Molly Hemingway with some good news about what's going on with the Trump presidency. The poverty rate is the lowest that we've seen in history according to the census. It is, it is. You have the Atlanta Fed saying that third quarter GDP could be 5.1 percent. What? Young Americans without college degrees are having the best job situation in 20 years. Yeah. You had those great August jobs numbers. You have record retail sales. So there's a lot that could be talked about. A lot of Republicans seem to have dropped the ball a bit on making that case and also reminding people it's not just what has gone well because people tend to vote more out of anger than out of appreciation but also to remind people what happens under Democrat control of the government. And we haven't forgotten and again I'll tell you this is a different midterm. If it were Mitt Romney voters, if it were George Bush voters, if it were John McCain voters, if it were a typical Republican voter, they would sit it out midterm. But we ain't going to do that because we know what is at stake. And if we didn't know what was at stake, we would have given up on Trump after the election of 2020 and after they went after him with all of these faux legal cases, tried to bankrupt him, put him in jail and kill him. We would have given up then. You think we're going to give up now? No, we're not going to give up now. Here's Harry Hinton also. He says that the Democrat party has a tough row to hoe. By the way, it's not what you think, Hunter. Trump won the median house seat. Trump won the median house seat by five points. My goodness gracious. That means that Democrats have to win at least one seat, at least one seat that Trump won by five points. What about in the United States? What about that? It's even more, even more difficult for Democrats. Really? They have to win at least one seat that Donald Trump won. That is very, very difficult indeed. So if the Met looks anything like it did in 2024, well, Democrats definitely have their work cut out for them in the Senate. There's a lot of stuff going on. And if you look at individual races other than the national polls, it says, oh, Democrats are up by six. You see all sorts of stuff. For instance, in Minnesota, the Republican governor's race and the Senate race are tied up essentially. The attorney general's race, Ron Schultz, I should say, 45% above. Keith Ellison is ahead of Keith Ellison, the most corrupt AG in Minnesota history, an awful human being who I hope goes to jail forever. So you've also got the shot of a Republican governor in New York. You've got this Angie Nixon in Florida who's going to get her butt kicked. You've got James Tallarico who's going to get his butt kicked because they've got $57 million now for Pat Paxton and other things. So again, chin up. Overwhelm them with joy and faith and patriotism because negativity and darkness will not win. Hey, it's Rob Carson.
