Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) belongs to the family Elaeagnceae. It is also referred to as sandthorn, sallowthorn, or seaberry. Sea buckthorn is native to Europe and Asia. Tremendous potential for functional food and nutraceutical uses. Very high vitamin C and anti-oxidant properties.
