Video Summary
AI GeneratedPaula from \"Relatively Refined\" showcases a diverse collection of vintage finds from an outdoor yard sale and Goodwill. The haul includes art, kitchenware, and textiles, most of which will be available through her Instagram, 34 Green Street Vintage, or her upcoming vintage booth.
Don't you just love it when you stumble across an outdoor yard sale and it's vintage gold?
Well, that's what happened to me this weekend.
Hey everyone, welcome to Relatively Refined. My name is Paula. Well, this weekend I was heading
out in the morning to grab some biscuits from the Millstone Biscuit Company here in
Pawleys Island. And as I drove past Inlet Queens, which is a vendor mall,
they were having like an outdoor yard sale. And I thought, well, I can't just drive past that.
So I pulled in and it was fantastic. People had booths set up and I think they might have been,
you know, some of them were vendors inside the vendor mall. Some of them were not.
They had food crafts and they had some booths selling vintage and I
struck vintage gold. And that's what I'm going to share with you right now.
As always, most of these will be going to my booth, but if you do see something that you're
interested in, you can email me at relativelyrefined at gmail.com and we can arrange for me to ship it
out to you. I also post them on my 34 Green Street Vintage Instagram page. So I'll link that in the
description box below. And if you want to go head over there and purchase them on that site,
you surely can. But let's jump into the goodies. Now, the first thing that I've purchased at this
outdoor sale, when I show you, you're going to know exactly why I purchased it. It's this original
oil painting of this adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I'm obsessed with anything
Cavalier King Charles. This says Barbara Keller Merle's Inlet, South Carolina. And it says a
Cavalier tricolor. Isn't so precious? Now it does have some damage, but I actually think
that just makes it more charming. There's the back. You can see it's an original canvas.
So I think this is so adorable. I absolutely love this. Another thing that I bought,
and I think this is precious as well, is this little teeny tiny, well, I guess this would be
counted cross stitch. Arlene, please tell me if you know, because you're the queen of this,
but it's this little tiny frame and it says friendship on it with the pineapple, which is,
you know, the symbol of welcome. So I'm sorry about the glare, but I thought this was so
adorable. So I got that at that same sale. Actually, most of this stuff is coming from that
sale. So I don't really need to keep saying that, but I also found this adorable, like little
wooden carrier. It looks kind of like a little sewing box or toolbox or something that somebody
clearly painted and decoupaged. And I just think it is adorable. I love the pattern that they chose
to decoupage it with, and I love the color green. So this would be great to display things in,
or just as, you know, something to store books in. Your to be read pile of books could go in here.
You could store magazines in this. You could put your knitting yarn in it. There's a whole
host of things, dog toys, whatever you want. It's just a beautiful way to corral items and
keep them organized. So I loved that. I also got another piece of art and I did kind of pay up for
this. I paid, I think I paid, I think she gave it to me for 15. It's marked 18, but I think she gave it
to me for 15. This is old. I mean, you can tell by the back, look at how those old, those nails are
really old. Love it though. It is this beautiful print with the lighthouse. I love the muted tones.
I think it is perfect for fall. I love actually the horizontal shape that it goes lengthwise
instead of this way. Absolutely. I love everything about this picture, this print. It is so good. The
colors are beautiful. So it is signed. I think it's a print. It has a signature on here, but I'm pretty
sure it's a print. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a print, but beautiful and old nonetheless. Absolutely
love that. I also picked up this little box. I love little storage boxes of all kinds and this
has this beautiful ship print on the front. This is kind of a, again, like it looks like
some kind of printed leather on the top. Really beautiful. And then it opens up on the inside. I
imagine it was kind of a, maybe a jewelry box. I don't think it was a humidor of any sort, but it
is beautiful. It's very clean on the inside and wooden. Absolutely love it. And then it has the
felt on the bottom. So I do know that it does have some age, but isn't that beautiful? Love that piece.
I picked up this adorable little piece of kind of folk art painting. I love this. I think this
would look so cute on a mantle or a bookshelf. It's just door or you could honestly put it,
you know, in your windowsill would really be sweet.
Both my daughter Neve and I are obsessed with anything that has little houses in it.
Love this. In fact, I did get another, like a little recipe box that looked like a little house,
but before I could even get a picture of that, she claimed it. So maybe when we go to her house,
if we're going to do some cooking with her, I'll show it to you. But I thought this was adorable.
I also got, picked up a rolling pin. Rolling pins sell very, very well for me in my booth.
And this is very heavy. This is like a solid piece of maple. It is beautiful. Now it's not
solid with the handles, but it is heavy. And this middle piece is really, really solid. So
I was happy to find another rolling pin. Then I found these little
turkey, I guess a male and a female turkey salt and peppers. They are definitely old.
I don't see any markings on the bottom. One still has its original cork. This one,
I think the cork is unfortunately inside this one. So you really couldn't use them.
Not that I would anyway. They're really more for, I think, kind of decoration. I think they would
look so cute in your windowsill or on a shelf or on your table, just as kind of Thanksgiving or
fall decor. Super cute. I love the colors on them. Really adorable.
Then I found this hand-painted, made in Italy, little covered dish. Again, I love the floral
design on this. It is all taped up. I'm not going to take the tape off of it right now. I will when
I wash it up and clean it and list it. But there is the bottom, the back stamp, and it says
Forte Braccia di Pinto Amano, which I think means hand-painted Italy,
Caramice. So that's my attempt at Italian. I can speak Spanish, just not Italian. But there we go.
Love that. Then I found these really adorable little hooks. One is,
I would guess that these are parsnips. They're not really orange like carrots. They look more
like parsnips to me. And these are beets. And they would be so cute in one in a kitchen, you know,
to hang your aprons on or your dog leashes, whatever. I think they're just adorable.
Neve almost laid claim to these as well, but she lives in an apartment that she's renting and so
she didn't want to put any holes in the walls. But I was thinking you could get some strong
command strips and hang them up, but I just think these are super cute. Are they not adorable?
Then I found this wooden carved, I don't know where it says where it's made in. I can't really
read it, but it is this wooden carved sheep. And I've seen these used a lot in kind of French
country decorating. If you had a big, huge cloche, you could put it underneath that. I just think for
the holidays or any times on a bookshelf styled, sitting on a stack of books, he's really adorable.
I love any, I'm a sucker for any kind of animal figurines, which leads me to the next figurine.
He's a little bit of a project piece. I had a black miniature Schnauzer. So I'm always drawn,
even though I know this is a Scotty dog, I'm always drawn to these type of black dogs. Now
somebody unfortunately put some glitter paint, red glitter paint around his eyes. So I'm going
to sand that off and touch that up in black. And I just think he is adorable. On the bottom,
it says to Cindy, sweet lady from Rose, January of 93. And he cute. I love him again,
on a stack of books, sitting on a shelf. If you have a Scotty dog or a mini Schnauzer,
or you just love dogs in general, this would be so adorable. Let's see what else. I've got
a few things down here to share with you. I did find two handmade, beautiful hand crocheted
blankets. These I'm going to run through the wash, but first one is this really pretty
blue and white striped blanket. It kind of reminds me of the Corningware China from
England. I love blue and white, as you know, if you've been watching me for any amount of time.
So I thought that was really beautiful. And then I found this one, which is even,
I think a little bit bigger than that one. Maybe not, but it is this orange and green stripe. I
just think these are so beautiful. And the work that went into these, I cannot pass up anything
handmade. I just love all things handmade. So I'm going to run these through the wash and get these
listed or bring them to my booth. I just think they are absolutely beautiful. How pretty would
this be for fall on the back of a chair, folded in a basket kind of thing. Really, really pretty.
Then I found this. I think this is so gorgeous. It is this wooden box. It's hand painted. There
is the painting on the side. Here is the other side. Now this definitely I think does have some
age. And it also has hand painting on the top and this really unique wooden handle. And then
it does open up so you can, this slides out and there is the inside. I don't know if this was
like a sewing box. There's the bottom. And like I said, I do think that this has some age to it.
I love the muted tones. If you had kind of a colonial style home or primitive or, I think
you can mix in primitive and colonial style in any decor pretty much. But I just love it.
Look at the beautiful hand painted flowers on that. Stunning. And I just love how old and chippy
it is. It's just so good. This I'm so tempted to keep, but I don't think I will. But it is
going to be hard to let this one go. Really beautiful. Then I found this. This is actually,
I'm going to bring to my booth. It is a book. Let me grab a book. It is like a book rack.
You could just, you know, display books like this and then have them all along there. And
goodness knows I need more book storage. So because I've got a lot of books, but I think
I'm going to take this to the booth because I am going to be having some books featured in my
vintage booth space, which cross your fingers. I think the opening is somewhere around the first
week in October. They're just getting their certificate of occupancy and all that. And then
let me move this. Another thing that I found, which I absolutely love, is this vintage tapestry
bag. It has the leather handles, though maybe not real leather. I'm not sure. I think it is
actually real leather. And then this beautiful kind of brass looking clasp right here for the
handles. And it is a fox hunting scene. And there's the back. Absolutely beautiful. And the
inside is quite clean. It looks barely used to me. I just thought it was so, so pretty. It has
a pocket on the outside. And tapestry bags are really on trend right now. So step back and you
can see. Absolutely love this. Again, another thing that I'm super tempted to keep. And let's
see, I have one last thing to share with you. Let me pick it up here. And it is this gorgeous
basket. Now this I do think I am going to keep. This reminds me of a vintage French laundry
basket. The color on this is so perfect. I love the shape. I love the size of it. I don't
quite know where I'm going to put it, but we are using a lot of kind of natural materials
in our new home. And I mentioned this in a video before. I will do a home tour when
I feel like we're kind of ready to go. We're still waiting on some
furniture we ordered to be delivered. That's supposed to be coming mid-October. Cross your
fingers. So we're still waiting. We don't have chairs for the kitchen table or stools for our
bar. And we're waiting for a few other pieces at any rate. Soon as they come and we have it set
up, I will do a home tour. I promise. But isn't this beautiful? I got this actually at Goodwill.
I paid $5 for this, which I thought was a fabulous deal. So there is my little impromptu
bonus thrift haul this week. If there's anything you saw that you would like to purchase,
shoot me an email at relativelyrefinedatgmail.com, and we can talk about getting that packed up and
shipped to you. Otherwise, I'm going to be listing it on my Instagram page,
34 Green Street Vintage Co., and I'll link that in the description box. And then eventually,
once my booth is open, it'll make its way up to my booth. All right, that is going to do it for
my little midweek thrift haul. All right, everybody, that is going to do it for today's
bonus video. I hope you enjoyed it. I do try to do a bonus video every once in a while,
and now that I am retired, I'm hoping to be able to do that more often. But let me know down in
the comments what was one of your favorite finds from today. I don't know what mine was. I do love
the artwork. I love that beautiful lighthouse print, but I do think my actual favorite is
probably the basket. I love baskets, and that one is just what I've been looking for for so long.
If you have made it this far in the video and you don't want to leave a comment, go ahead and drop
a little house emoji down in the comment section in honor of my love of houses and Neve's love of
little houses. Those two things do really help out our channel, as does liking and sharing this
video. So thank you so much for spending part of your day with me. I always appreciate it and
appreciate you. I hope to see you again very soon in a new video, so take good care of yourselves
and stay tuned for some more great fall content coming your way. Bye-bye.
