Tudor Street once ran from the Temple to New Bridge Street, through ground that held a medieval monastery, London's most lawless sanctuary, a Tudor palace, a Jacobean theatre, and the beating heart of the British press. This is the story of what that street witnessed across eight centuries, and why most of it no longer exists.
