When We Left Earth, the UFOs Followed

The UFO mystery did not stay on Earth.

From the first American orbital flights through Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station, astronauts and cameras have recorded objects that were difficult to identify from inside a spacecraft. In 2026, newly released records brought some of those early reports back into view.

This feature-length documentary follows the original mission context, astronaut observations, orbital footage and official records. It tests ice, debris, detached hardware, optics and incomplete geometry against the incidents, then asks what remains when those explanations are taken seriously.

Space should have made the UFO question simpler. Instead, without reliable distance or scale, a nearby particle and a distant structured object can occupy the same few pixels. That uncertainty explains many famous clips. It does not make every account disappear.

No public evidence has confirmed an extraterrestrial presence in orbit. Contemporary records, later testimony and unresolved footage are identified for what they are. Reconstruction and illustration may be used where authentic imagery does not exist.
