Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe video follows Kevin as he relocates George and Yame, two rescue lions from Spain, to a new camp. Along the way, Kevin discusses the importance of spending quality time with the sanctuary animals, demonstrates a specific feline sensory behavior, and promotes sustainable merchandise to support the sanctuary's efforts.
All right, good morning, good morning, good morning guys. Today we're going to be moving
some of the lions around, those who are willing and wanting to participate.
Okay, so on our way to fetch George and Yame. George and Yame are the two lions that were
rescued from Spain back in 2014, coming on 12 years of age very soon. Brothers, very good lions
and actually I must just take a moment to give a huge shout out to the members of the channel,
members and pride leaders and paid subscriptions on Facebook. Massive shout out to you guys,
thank you, thank you, thank you. What we have been doing is we've been taking to heart your
commentary in the members videos. So for those of you who don't know, I make exclusive videos
for members, so do go and check that out. And we listen to those members comments. Obviously
we read every comment and we try and take to heart what you're saying. So members, we have
seen a lot more of the lions in the sanctuary, even if the lions aren't doing a lot. The members
are all pretty happy to just see the lions in their camps literally doing nothing. As the
one member put it, this is not a pony show, so I don't need to perform, this is not a performative
thing, especially with the animals getting old and a lot of them having these injuries.
And even quality time is also just sometimes being together in each other's company,
being present. And sometimes I feel that life is just so crazy that I don't spend the quality time
that I used to. So I am making a concerted effort to try and spend more quality time with the
animals, because there's just no guarantee. There's no guarantee how long they're going to
live. So yeah. All right, let's go and move. George and Yami, they're waiting here patiently.
Hello, my boys.
Hello, boy.
Come, come, come.
Okay. You have to admire this lion. Yeah. What a cat. Yeah. Nice. Yeah. Yum. Yum.
Yeah. Yum, yum. Yeah. George, you're not even interested in the food. Yeah. George gets so
easily distracted by smells. That lion, his strong point is his sense of smell. So you'll notice
when I come in and he smells the other lions, he starts to sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff,
and then he grimaces. Or Flehmen response. That's the Jacobson organ on the surface of the palate.
They draw in the smell over that, and then they can recognize that smell if they smell it
at a later stage. So it's a way of drawing in new scents. But George is very, very,
yeah, he's very susceptible to those kind of smells and Flehmen response,
which is quite interesting. Look at him. There he is.
Look at him. Sniff, sniff, sniff. You see how he's drooling. He's getting that smell,
and he's going to draw it in, drawing it in, drawing it in, and then watch what's going to
happen. Let's see. Yeah, there we go. Perfect demonstration. You can hear him sniffing and
snorting and bringing that smell. He's going to go again. And where Yame is just, he's just
interested in the meat, George is just interested in the smells. So interesting combo, these two.
All right. See you there. All right. So just before I offload Yame and George,
many have been asking in other social channels where they can get their grubby paws on my merch.
So a lot of you have commented on liking certain designs. I know a lot of people like this
Icarus design. Guys, I love it. I think out of many t-shirts that I've worn in my life,
this must be one of my favorite designs. And a close second is the new Charlie one. The Charlie
is like this, these blues and light blues, and then on a dark blue t-shirt, it just looks
the mutts nuts. I love that expression. Anyway, so guys, yeah, if you want to
get your hands on one of my tees, I will leave the link down below. I will also tell you that
if you go to my Instagram, you'll find the link in my bio. And the line was for a tea mill store.
This is manufactured by tea mill. It really is a wonderful company because they believe in
sustainability. And they're only... Come George. They're only... These tops are made to order,
so there's no wastage. Come, come, come, come, come, come, whoop. That go off. Yeah.
So go and check tea mill out. The quality is incredible. And I don't often punt my merch,
but when I see a good product and I think it's worth sharing, I'll share it and go and check
it out. It's really... Yeah, you won't be sorry. That's all I can say. And people who have bought
merch will tell you that the quality is really good and they really love the longevity of the
merch. It wears really, really well. So that's all I'm going to say about merch. I'm going to let
these two lovely kiddies out. George, you just mount like an absolute star. There he is. George
is the star. Go and check out one more shameless plug for George merch. We have some merch that
really it says be like George. Yeah. My shameless plug for George merchandise. There's a lovely tea
in the shop and it's be like George and go and check it out. Because if you see what this line
has to deal with, you would want to be like George. Whenever you start moaning about life,
just think of the slogan be like George and it'll make you keep quiet and carry on.
Yeah, what a line. Love these two. Okay, let's wrap it up. Alright guys, that is it for today's video.
Bobcat and Gabby are happy. George and Yame are happy and their new camp.
Most of the lines have been moved around except the ones that don't want to move.
That's cool too. Leave them where they are until next time. And you saw with Bobcat,
when they want to move, they jump in. They don't want to move, they stay. That's all cool.
So I hope you enjoyed today's video guys. Yeah, if you did, please do like and share. And if it's
the first time you're coming across the channel and you want to see more, do hit the subscribe
button. All that's left for me to say is until next time, from me Kevin and the lines, bye.
