Ink and watercolor floral doodle illustration for beginners

Hello everyone and welcome to my channel and welcome to this video. Today we will be painting this floral pot and I did use again this Heine Muller sketchbook paper and also I used Viviva color sheets spring set, this cherry blossom, a little bit of the burgundy, some tree bark brown and happy yellow, some foliage green and some olive green. For the brushes today I used this Raphael number zero quill brush and this also micron ink pen 03 for inking, a pencil and a kneaded eraser to draw my sketch and then erase pencil lines later on. So that's all and without further ado let's get to it. And of course I will be starting with my sketch just first drawing in the pot quite simply one square shape for the top of the pot and one more for the bottom but just slightly curved. I'm not gonna complicate with my pot I'm gonna just draw it quite simply and also adding just a few circles teardrop shapes for my flowers. I just want to see the composition and place them all and details I will be doing with the ink. So that's going to be the basic sketch just blocking the shapes and putting everything onto my paper and then moving on to the inking. Again you can see me now just adding more details to my flowers actually drawing my flowers stylizing them directly with the ink. I'm gonna do a couple of different shapes and of course it's completely up to you which shapes would you like to draw and how you want your flowers to look. Now with the kneaded eraser I'm just gonna erase the pencil lines and do a little bit more of the details and the stylizing. Some shading and just overall drawing my flowers. To these circles I'm gonna add a bit more ink to some of them just to make them a little bit more interesting. Draw in some different leaves which can be just whimsical and as you please. We're not drawing anything realistic so this is just a doodle and you can just doodle your flowers just the way you like your foliage. Some dots to my flowers because you know why not and I'm not gonna overcrowd my pot with the flowers. I do want to make it very very simple. The last one with a couple of leaves and adding a few dots at the top of those lines and then I decided to add a bit more of the foliage just to fill the bottom part and make it a little bit more nicer. And now I'm gonna move on to my pot. Also making the lines a little bit thicker, adding a little bit more of the details. Some dots again and a bit more of the dots at the bottom of the pot. Some shading to make it a little bit more interesting with these loose lines, sketchy. And now I'm gonna move on to the watercolors starting off with the green, a little bit more of the foliage green. Again quite loosely not gonna complicate a little bit of the pink and yellow for my florals and for the pot. Also a tiny bit of the burnt umber and some splatters, some happy yellow. I'm gonna paint my flowers in different colors. I do want to make it colorful and fun and some more splatters with green and you know what we're done. So as simple as that you can just make it as complicated as you like, add more details if you please, completely up to you. So guys we're done. I hope you enjoyed this video.
