This is extremely good news for the Winnipeg Jets as many prospects are showing out in the prospect challenge.
In this video, we're going to break down the top prospects that are really standing out in this prospect challenge and so much more.

But with that said, we got to talk about this prospect challenge and some of the top guys that are standing out.
And of course, the top guy that is standing out for us right now is Vigo Bjork.
This is a guy going into this, we really want to see a lot from.
You know, obviously going up not against, you know, a top NHL competition, playing against NHL prospects is still a big feat.
And he has been really putting on a show for the Winnipeg Jets fans.
And if you guys haven't seen this play, we're going to watch it right now.
As he goes on the between the legs pass to his teammate here who goes in and rips it.
And we'll just watch it back again, because look at this pass between the legs.
You know, the Maple Leafs defenders don't know what's going on.
And he just buries it in the back of the net here.
And then in yesterday's game, this was the night's game.
But yesterday's game, you know, he goes down the wick with a burst of speed, drop pass, goes behind the net and tucks it in.
I mean, Vigo Bjork has been really looking good in these first couple of games we've seen him.
He's creating a lot of offensive chances, high danger scoring areas.
And in that last play, I really liked that.
He took the puck, carried it all the way up the ice.
A little drop pass to his teammate, went down low, wrapped around the back of the net and put the puck in.
Those are the type of plays that you like to see out of these young guys.
Just showing how high of a hockey IQ he has.
Just, you know, get down low, hit that drop pass to get down low to find that scoring chance out front.
And, I mean, this guy, you know, you can just see how great his playmaking is off the jump.
But, you know, trying a between the legs pass in his second game as a Winnipeg Jet is just unbelievable.
And he's looking great so far.
I mean, he's coming off a great year with Sweden and, you know, in Sweden.
And it's great to see him, you know, adjusting to North American ice, playing some great hockey for this team.
And we did get some quotes from Vigo Bjork.
And this is what he had to say here.
I'll just bring it up a little bit bigger for you guys.
He said, to learn the new system of the team is important.
He said, and then just to get game ready as well for the season.
I think I'm in good shape.
But to get ice minutes in a game is, I think, is important as well, which I definitely agree with here.
He said, I guess just believe in myself.
I've been able to play at certain levels.
I think the World Championships as well was kind of a good place to see where you're at.
It's definitely not easy, but I'm going, I'm not, I'm going to give it my best shot.
And we also seen a quote from the AHL coach Mark Morrison about Bjork.
He said, I thought he played with a lot of composure out there.
It's a little scrambly at times.
He made some nice plays.
Special teams, he was really good.
A nice goal.
You can tell he's into the game on the bench and on the ice.
In the dressing room, he's a competitor.
And that's great to see as well.
And then Braden Yeager, who we're going to talk about in just a bit, had to talk about Vigo Bjork here.
Or Vigo Bjork and said, he's a very unique player.
He said, he's so good on both ends of the ice.
He's got a great stick and the puck just seems to find him.
He gets in the good spots.
And yeah, he's a very smart player.
And I mean, hearing all this stuff, you know, come out about Vigo Bjork.
It just speaks volumes of how good of a player he is.
To have, you know, an AHL coach in Mark Morrison talk this highly of this player.
You know, just a couple games into his career.
Just, you know, getting his eyes on him for the first time.
It's huge, right?
Because just saying, hey, you know, he has such a high IQ.
He has such a high compete level.
And basically saying this guy has the makings of a great NHL player.
And I think from what we've seen from him in these first couple of games.
In this small sample size, yes, he looks like that.
And one thing that I really did like about Vigo Bjork and when the Jets drafted him.
Was how well he did play on the international level at the World Junior Championships.
Or at the World Championships and at the World Junior Championships as well.
Let's just take a look at those stats here.
I mean, look at the World Championship.
He had 6 points in 8 games.
1 goal, 5 assists.
That's playing against some of the best players in the world.
In the World Junior Championship as well.
6 points in 7 games.
And internationally, all year for the, you know, under 20 team.
He had 19 points in 17 games.
And, you know, that was actually 9 points in the World Juniors.
And 6 points in the World Championship.
I mean, this guy has the makings of being a great, great NHL player.
And I think the Jets, you know, for quite some time now.
Have been waiting for this second line center to come about.
They've been, you know, rumored to be trading for a second line center.
Every year at the deadline.
And it never pans out for this team.
So they go out, draft a guy in Vigo Bjork.
Who I really think can step up into this role for the Winnipeg Jets.
And just become that player that they've been waiting for.
And from what we've seen, yes, in a small sample size.
But, you know, doing these things on the world stage is hard.
And I think that's why I really put a lot more value into a guy like Vigo Bjork.
More than, you know, another prospect that hasn't, you know.
Shown out in the World Championship, right.
So, I think that this is great news for the Winnipeg Jets.
It's just basically confirming to what we all were hoping.
Was he was going to be the second line center going into this season.
And I really do think that's what's going to happen.
I think he's going to take the reins of this second line.
And really make some magic happen.
He's a great playmaker.
He's a great goal scorer.
He has so much high, you know, IQ.
And yes, it might take him a little bit of time to adjust to playing in the NHL.
Playing in the top league in the world.
But I do think this guy is a special talent.
And I think if we seen 40 points out of him in his first season.
We'd all be happy with that.
And I know we would.
So, that's great to see here.
But like I did, I mentioned about Brayden Yeager.
I mean, he was another first round pick.
That's in our prospect pipeline.
Was playing with the Manitoba Moose last year.
And he had, you know, a good impact.
He had a nice rip there against Montreal.
Nice goal for him.
And then he also had a rip that kind of ricocheted in.
You know, two points for him.
He's looking good for this team going forward.
And like I did mention, he has played with the Manitoba Moose.
Last season.
In his first full year.
Over into, you know, the pro hockey.
At 30 points in 68 games.
He got into three games for us towards the end of last season.
I do believe.
And then, you know, he didn't get any points on the board.
But Brayden Yeager is a guy who I think is a tremendous player.
And I do think he's really having a coming out party in this prospect challenge.
And, you know, he scored.
That goal he scored was a hard one, right?
He's kind of just past the top of the circle.
Has a good snipe there.
And then the second one he's kind of cutting across.
Puts it on net.
And it just, you know, spills out.
Someone puts it in.
And this is the type of plays you love to see from a young player.
And, I mean, this guy's a little bit older in this prospect challenge.
But I really like what we've seen from NDHL last year.
And I think this is a guy that at some point this season will get called up to the NHL level.
Maybe we see him start the year if he has a good preseason.
Because looking right now, just through the first two games, small sample size as well,
I do think that he looks very solid.
And a guy who could potentially play on a third or fourth line.
Unfortunately, he is a center.
And we're kind of clogged on those third and fourth lines with centers.
So maybe if he makes the move to play on the wing we could see him called up.
But we'll have to see what happens here.
If he continues to play like this in the preseason,
I definitely think there is going to be a case to be made for Brayden Yeager to make this opening night roster.
No doubt about it.
And, I mean, I really like what we've seen today from all these NHL, you know, Winnipeg Jets prospects.
Vigo, Bjork is everything we dreamed of and more in my opinion.
And then we see Brayden Yeager talking highly on Bjork and having a good couple games himself.
And definitely got to keep an eye on going into this training camp and preseason to make this opening night roster.
I want to hear your guys' thoughts on everything around this prospect challenge.
Your thoughts on the first looks at Vigo, Bjork.
So maybe some players we didn't mention today that you guys are liking.
